Is anyone up for a special game of JOL (Jyhad On Line) where the most abusive/hated cards are banned. My idea is that each player can name one card that will not be allowed in the game. Alternatively, each player can name any number or up to a certain number of cards, but the players vote on each to include or ban. I for one would love to play a game where Thoughts Betrayed was banned. I really, really, really hate that card. For those of you wondering what JOL is, it is a on-line service provided by George Fink that allows users to play jyhad over the internet. He's up to over 30 games running now, many of which have already completed. So, how about it?

What's wrong with Pulled Fange, Earth Meld and M1k? Although I don't agree with them, I understand some of the arguments against the first 2 cards. I don't think I could understand any arguments against the last 3. I realize that this is your opinion and that I cannot fault you for having this opinion, however I do think that it's getting ridiculous. Let's see approximately 1/2 of the decks in JOL are FOR - Prevent & Pulled Fangs decks which can be used even when the vamp is going to torpor and burn the opposing vamp. S:CE untap should be limited somehow. Earth meld is right out better than Majesty which is reason enough for me for it to be banned, PRO still would have Form of Mist and Claws. Mask decks are fun but with Cammarilla exemplary and Archon and fame and cards like that tend to get really annoying really fast. >Sorrow Just my 2 pool. After all, I you are going to ban cards, where do you stop? Stu

Even under the old rules, it was really nasty. EM and the Mask are manageable without repeat actions. Curt Adams (curt...@aol.com)

[ quoted text not captured ] I agree. PF is more pervasive and abusive than RtI - although RtI is plenty broken. Meld and Mask ? I've never heard of them causing problems (except with repeat actions, which are now illegal). -- L. PF too, though I think it is a much too nasty card like Stu. It should have been a strike card which would have been more fair and more appropriate to the cards meaning. I would consider voting to ban it myself, though I am wishy-washy on the issue.

Actually I think Disarm or decapitate is even worse. Errol T

Is it now customary that the question that starts the thread is largely ingnored in the ensuing discussion ? :) Ian

[ quoted text not captured ] I just wanted to say that I've noticed no such trend. Bye the way, how do you feel about Card Limits? Also, I think RtI should be banned. =) Robert -- ...................................................................... :The opinions expressed here are strictly my own delusional ramblings: :and do not reflect the opinions of The Walt Disney Company. : : : :Robert Goudie robert...@studio.disney.com: :....................................................................: :cigars * v:tes * car rallies * scotch * sega rally champion * spoon : :....................................................................:

Sorry, I was just being a bit flippant as I'd noticed one or two threads that start with a question and within two or three replies there is a completely different discussion going on. Ian - just stirring things up :)
