No-stealth obf[aus] deck idea/rules check

Michael won at Louisa's house on monday and during the game the following interesting situation came up: i had a load of obf/OBF vamps who were all empty due to an emergency Tribute to the Master. The first one hunted and was blocked by Sam - an inconclusive combat resulted. Then i Hidden Lurkered another of my empty vamps [Basil] onto Sam's blocker and hit the blocker for a cheeky one point of damage. The rules check bit of this post is to ask whether this was legit - i think it was, since HL is not an action, but an action modifier, and nothing stops empty vamps from playing action modifiers. The deck idea arises from wishing that i'd had a few more Disguised Weapons and, well, weapons. Wouldn't it be fun to have Strained Vitae Supply or palla Grande in play with a deck that deliberately wore your own obf/aus vamps down to not-very-much/no blood? Then if other people hunted you would block them and Fast React if necessary; and if people blocked YOUR vampires hunting you would HL and smite them with something pointy or flamy. Bit of dominate for grave-robbing, maybe ... spot of Rotshreck, perhaps ... sprinkle with parsley and butter, bake in a moderate oven for 20 minutes kinda thing?
