I keep going to the WW VTES discussion board, and whenever I click on a discussion, I get forwarded to some foreign language PDF site, which inevitably crashes my browser (after I run away). Is anyone else running into this? Have they been hacked? Or something? Peter D Bakija pd...@lightlink.com http://www.lightlink.com/pdb6/vtes.html "It's too bad she won't live! But then again, who does?" -Gaff

Saw topic list, clicked on several topics, each of which led to the list of messages in that topic.

[ quoted text not captured ] Hmm. It appears, indeed, that it has been hacked. I practice safe surfing, so my browser ignored the malicious code (thank you, NoScript and Firefox). Anyway, there's an invisible iframe embedded after the "Post 'em if you got 'em" text at the top. It's got some obfuscated script embedded in a <b> element that it runs to do its work. I'll let WW know. Thanks. In the meantime, get Firefox and install the NoScript extension (or use the equivalent settings for whatever browser you choose). Just on general principle.

I'm a tech-dummy. Thanks. Wow, that's the second time the site got hacked. Last time some bastards tried to sell us a 'share' in the list of usernames and passwords, remember? - Teeka

I'm a tech-dummy. Whatever prevents the browser from running scripts (and other executables) unless the script/executable comes from a whitelist (a list of trusted sites or specific scripts/executables).

I apparently need a better web browser security... -Peter
