Can I play Darkling Trickery in response to my opponent's Rötschreck ro prevent my Kiasyd from going into Torpor? Since both cards are played when a Vampire "attempts to strike", Darkling Trickery should kick in. The opposing vampire no longer does aggrevated damage and my Kiasyd should be safe. Or did I misinterpret something? Best regards, Sascha Neumayr

If yu play DT before they play Rotschrek, you'll be safe. >Or did I misinterpret something? Acting minion gets first chance to play cards. If they declare strike: ivory bow (and they are not acting and you are) you get a chance to play DT before they get a chance to play Rotschrek. if you decline to play DT and then they play Rotschrek, combat is over and you are in torpor so you can't play DT _in response_ to Rot. The only things playable in response to Rot are Sudden Reversally stuff and combat continuers/restarters (TT, Psyche!). salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm
