If yu play DT before they play Rotschrek, you'll be safe.

Acting minion gets first chance to play cards. If they declare strike:
ivory bow (and they are not acting and you are) you get a chance to
play DT before they get a chance to play Rotschrek.
if you decline to play DT and then they play Rotschrek, combat is over
and you are in torpor so you can't play DT _in response_ to Rot. The
only things playable in response to Rot are Sudden Reversally stuff
and combat continuers/restarters (TT, Psyche!).
