O.k., suppose Anson is up, you have the Parthenon, and Anson pases the Rumors of Gehenna vote. Consider the wording on each card: Anson : Can play 2 master cards each turn Parth: additional master phase action Rumors: can play two masters How many pool can the player pull off of a Powerbase in a turn? Only two (one for the player, one for the Parth) but would be allowed to play two Master cards? That's what it seems to say. I'm sure this has come up before... Thanks-

The player would have 2 MPAs (Anson/Rumors) plus the ability to gain one additional MPA each master phase. If the powerbase is activated with MPAs, then there you go. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Generally, such cards that allow you to play more Master cards actually give you a 'Master phase action'. In the example given, you can pull out (up to) three pool from a Powerbase. -- smenkhkapep, whisperer of secrets "why do you speak in riddles?", the Little Prince asked the snake. [ quoted text not captured ] Both Anson and Rumors allow two master phase actions (instead of the usual one). The Parthenon would give you one more. You may take a total of three master phase actions, be they master cards from hands or those allowed by cards in play. lactamaeon

[ quoted text not captured ] So, strategically, there is no need to have Anson AND Rumors... since they both only give you 2, and they are not additive, ie. there's no way to have more than 3 MPAs per turn (with these cards). Thanks all for your input.

If you have both in play then you will have 2 MPAs. This is not the same as there never being any need. Having both in play could, for instance, allow you better defence - if Anson gets rushed and dies, you still have two MPAs, similarly if someone else is good at burning the Rumors on their actions (e.g. Awe or something). -- James Coupe but I lust after the raw pow0r of c. The way you phased this sounds as if when you have Anson and a Rumors of Gehenna in play that you'd be able to play 4 master cards. Was that a correct interpretation? Or fuzzy math ;-) BernieTime [ quoted text not captured ]
