pretty sad if that's the case.

No.

Do you have a particular question in mind?
I searched on DejaNews (thinking that your post was
a result of an unanswered question you had posed),
but DejaNews shows that you've only posted once to
this group - the post quoted above.

No (at least not that I've heard of :). In my experience almost all
questions get answered quickly. Rules questions are almost always answered
by a couple of people that (think they) know the answer like myself :) and
then later confirmed or corrected by LSJ.
The only time I've seen when you get a less than satisfactory response is
when someone posts very aggressively on the subject of card limits.

It would be.

Hmm, nope, but it helps. I think the common waiting period for the
initiation is now of over four years though. Still waiting myself.

Mmm, some posts get lost by servers, and then some get lost by careless
removal of anything loosely related to the good old debate. I may have lost
yours in the second way. Depends on the subject. Other subjects also get
removed because I'm tired of seeing those cards discussed. Like ToR.

It's actually a vampire who can't bleed you for more than 2. That means
that after all the +bleed and -bleed (telepathic counter, for example)
given on that action, the remaining pool loss will be brought down to a
maximum of two.
In other words, you get bled for 5, but only lose two pool. Loss of two
pool also counts for cards such as Dirty Little Secrets. Unfortunatly, it's
no use to reduce the bleed through telepathic counter unless it would bring
it BY ITSELF to 1 or less.
Now, Protected Ressources does the same for the next vampire bleeding you
too. That means that each vampire can bleed you for up to two, EACH. Don't
forget not to bleed yourself though. Still, good card with bounce, as you
are not bleeding yourself.

Better leave some vamps untapped and ready to bounce. Easy if playing
Ventrue. Easier still with Majesty Untap and Freak Drive, that way they can
still call votes. Or you could also use the Metro Underground.

Just an FYI, but this post hasn't reach DejaNews, either. I would check
with whoever serves as your news server and see if they have circulation
problems. DejaNews has probably the best news feed of anything, so if
a message never gets there, there's something wrong somewhere along the
way.

Per bleed action. Every bleed action, regardless of the amount of
the bleed, can remove no more than 2 of the protected Methuselah's
pool.

Secure Haven is unique, by the way.

Baron Silas Greenback...?...
Was that the name of the enemy in the old cartoon Danger Mouse?
I'm really curious because I'm I've heard that name before and I can't
remember.
Vince
Hi Baron$%& whatever,
to answer your question :
I think, it prevents you to be bled with more than 2 bleed per 'action'.
So, for example, 'Inner Circle Members', having a base-bleed of three,
are absolutely prevented from bleeding you, because no player can
choose for his vampires to bleed with less bleed than aviable.
Your P-deck idea you was describing works without 'Protected
Ressources'. I won certain games under 4CL without knowing, that
the card exists. Because of this I think, 'Protected Ressources' along
with 'Archon Investigation' and 'Justicar Retribution' are only really
usable agains good old S&B-decks.
Ciao

Hello,
With the card protected resources, it says that a methuselah may not
bleed you for more than 2 blood.
Does that mean per turn? per vampire? or does it mean that once in
play, you may only be bled for 2 blood, full stop. no more until the
card leaves play.
thanks in advance.

While you are correct in citing that a Meth with a PR may not be bled
for more than 2 pool per action, the card itself does not cancel the
entire bleed. It will reduce bleeds for 3+ down to 2. Note, if you
attempt to use Telepathic Counter or other bleed reduction sources,
you have to reduce the _whole_ quantity of the original bleed amount.
You can't start from where PR left off, so to speak.

Wow. I didn't think anyone would actually answer me there for awhile.
Vince

Correct. Basically, the card limits the amount of pool you will
burn on a given bleed action, rather than limiting the bleed amount
itself, even though card text tends to favor the latter reading.
