What: A DCI Sanctioned Jyhad Draft tournament using Gehenna rules When: November 14th, 1999 Where: Dragonfire Games, 633 South Broadway, Boulder, CO 80303 (303) 543-9882. In the Table Mesa Shoppping center (go to mapquest.com for directions, i suggest) What time: 11:30 A.M. to whenever Price: $5 (includes 7 Jyhad boosters) The final nights are approaching! Gehenna is coming to Colorado!! Or is it . . ? Well the Camarilla seem to think so, at least, seeing as how they keep spontaneously combusting all over the place. The stranger thing, however, is that the area Sabbat don't seem affected (at least yet). Perhaps the beligerently mad Archbishop of Denver could have something to do with this? The Archbishop of Denver has seen fit to divide a portion of his land to the suitable pack member and can't think of a better way then manipulating the Camarilla in a final Jyhad (i.e. I couldn't get any Sabbat boxes, just Jyhad). Come and control the Camarilla like the puppets they are and watch as they go up in flame. The winner of this contest will be known henceforth as "The Archbishop of Boulder." **We will be doing a Draft format** The exact format has yet to be determined, but it will be close to the standard Draft rules. **We will be playing Gehenna rules from the Darkness Unveiled ruleook.** These are: 1. The blood bank holds only ten blood counters. If the blood bank runs dry, cards or actions that allow a player to take blood from the blood bank (such as hunting) may not be played. Vampires who canot hunt as a result of this are burned. Blood Counters removed from a vampires due to damage do not go to the blood bank, but are permanently removed from the game. 2. Each player loses one pool each turn for the remainder of the game. 3. Each player begins play with twenty vampires in her crypt. Starting with the second turn, each player takes the vampire from the top of her crypt each turn and places it in the ash heap. If a player has no vampires in the crypt, she burns a random vampire in her inactive region. All blood placed on that vampire is removed from the game. If the Methuselah has no vampires in the inactive region, the youngest vampire she controls is burned. If a player has no active vampires, that player(is ousted). **We will be playing with the most updated errata** There are packs to win from WOTC, other cool prizes, and the title of ARCHBISHOP OF BOULDER. Plus, of course, you get to keep the cards you drafted. Questions? Comments? Send e-mail to paan...@ix.netcom.com. Hope to see you there. p.s. Expect to see the Malkavian Antitribu newsletter later in the month with highlights from this event.

Be sure to note which cards "move" blood around (Theft of Vitae, Blood Doll, Parity Shift, correct guess on Malkavian Prank, e.g.) and which cards gain counters separate from the lost/burned counters (Cryptic Rider, Taste of Vitae, Kindred Spirits, e.g.). In particular, note that Ancient Influence causes each Methuselah to gain pool (based on the capacity or his or her chosen vampire) and then burn 5 pool. -- LSJ (vte...@wizards.com) V:TES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
