What if an independant vampire with, say, 2 votes, becomes Camarilla ? Does
he still have the 2 Votes ? Is he considered a Prince ?

Yes. No.

Thank you. Which brings one more question to my mind : what if a vampire
with 2 votes gains a Princeship, does he lose his 2 original votes ?

Yes. The votes aren't tied to a sect or clan (unlike titles).
>Is he considered a Prince ?
No. You need the actual title for that.
(Similarly, a vampire with 0 votes who gets a Legendary Vampire isn't
suddenly a Prince either.)

If the 2 votes are a title, yes. [RTR 10-NOV-1995]
A vampire with a title who gains a new title loses the old one. [10]

Careful - it is a title.
The votes from the "MyName has 2 votes" title aren't tied to a sect
or clan.

Why should "MyName has 2 votes" titles be any different from sabbat or
camarilla titles?

The rulebook. See [6.3.4] and the fact that nowhere in the rulebook are
these particular titles tied to clan or sect.

Also storywise, because Thetmes (for example) gets his two votes because he is
a big BADASS who rules in Alamut.
If he were to join the Camarilla, they would not tell him to give up control of
Alamut, so he would retain his political say in things.
Princes, on the other hand, must answer to the Camarilla. It is the Camarilla
organization itself which allows the vampire recognition as a Prince, and
should he or she leave the Camarilla, they have no reason to allow the vampire
Princeship.
In short, if you got your power because a sect gave it to you, then leaving
that sect means they will take it away. Independent vampires who have a say in
politics are powerful because of what they have accomplished or seized, not
what they have been appointed to.

The Camarilla titles are, by definition, Camarilla titles.
The Sabbat titles are, by definition, Sabbat titles.
"MyName has 2 votes" is not, by definition, an independent title.

Now I'm confused. I thought the independent vampires with votes were
considered to be titled vampires, for Free States Rant purposes etc.?

Yes.
The title in question is not, however, a title that is tied to being
Independent (contrast with "Bishop" which is a title that is tied to
being Sabbat).

And this means that "the Baron" with Writ of acceptance and Praxis
Seizure: Dallas would have 4 votes ?
True or false ??

As stated, The Baron's 2 votes are a Title. So, no.
