Just a couple of idea I wanted to share and have clarified for a deck I'm thinking about.. If I were to say have Gitane St. Claire gangrel extrodinare, out and attempt to bums rush one of my preys more vulnerable vamps, the thing I see most often is that another will attempt to block that action, now in this case I can then procede to pound upon the unsupecting victim bringing them to near death and right before the final blow, Form of the Mist, and continue my action at +1 stealth can I not? and then enter into combat with the original vamp? or perhaps get two or three more bodies thrown in my way? Of course S:CE would stop this and since I am the acting minion I would have to play mine first, so if I could see it comming I would go ahead and play it. Now what happens when I get blocked by the minon I am attempting to attack? Could I then play the strike combat ends to end the current combat and immediatly enter back into combat with that minion (with an optional manuver mind you)? And once my action has taken place (i.e. the minon doesn't block) can the Form of the Mist no longer be played? How does it work now? a Few Questions I think I already know but want some clearification and certainty on...

Sure. That would work. It doesn't matter what the blocked action was, the acting vampire can play Form of Mist (superior) to continue that action "as if unblocked." > or perhaps get two or three more > bodies thrown in my way? Well, you could only play one superior Form of Mist during that action, since the superior (when played by an acting vampire) counts as an action modifier (since it modifies the action). > Of course S:CE would stop this and since I am the > acting minion I would have to play mine first, so > if I could see it comming I would go ahead and > play it. Right. > Now what happens when I get blocked by the minon I > am attempting to attack? > Could I then play the strike combat ends to end > the current combat and immediatly enter back into > combat with that minion (with an optional manuver > mind you)? Not "immediately" - the continued action could be blocked again (by the intended target again if he can untap, or by someone else). But basically, yes. > And once my action has taken place (i.e. the minon > doesn't block) can the Form of the Mist no longer be > played? How does it work now? You can play it, and it will end combat. Since the action was already in the "resolution" phase, continuing from that point doesn't do much (no new combat, that is). -- LSJ (vte...@wizards.com) VTES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
