Hi all, I'm sure this has come up before, so one of you should be able to point me in the right direction... Can a Political card be used to gain one vote during the Blood Hunt? The relevant sections doesn't seem to preclude the use: 6.3.3. Gaining Votes <snip> a.. Political Action Cards. Each Methuselah may gain one vote by using a political action card. These cards say "worth 1 vote" to indicate this. If a political action card was used to call the referendum, that card provides a vote for the acting vampire's controller. Other political action cards used for votes are simply burned without regard to the text on the cards. Each Methuselah can gain no more than 1 vote from political action cards. 6.5.6. The Blood Hunt <snip> When a vampire commits diablerie, a referendum is automatically conducted to determine if a blood hunt will be called on the diablerist. If the referendum passes, a blood hunt is called, and the diablerist is burned. This referendum is not an action, so it cannot be blocked, and action modifiers and reaction cards cannot be played. Otherwise, this referendum is handled just like any other. Cheers!

If you cantrol the acting vampire, can you use action modifiers that affect the referendum (Bewitching Oration, Disarming Presence, etc...)?

[ quoted text not captured ] No. --Colin McGuigan

Colin McGuigan expounded: [ quoted text not captured ] ..because calling the blood hunt referendum isn't an action. It's just a consequence of there being a diablerie. You also can't play reaction cards.

As suspected... :) Thanks LSJ! This should make for some interesting changes to the way that diablerie is handled in our group! I foresee a number of very nervous diablerists! Cheers "LSJ" <vte...@white-wolf.com> wrote in message news:3F3B97A5...@white-wolf.com... [ quoted text not captured ]
