Hmmm... a question came up in our last game that I found I wasn't 100% sure about: does the effect of a Forced Awakening last for the entire action, or just for one block / reaction attempt? Wake specifically says "...can use reaction cards and attempt to block as though untapped until the current action is concluded", but FA has no such text. Does it still follow the same rules, i.e. can I play FA to attempt to untap, and then play a reaction card if I get out-stealthed? I'd assume yes, but I'd like confirmation. Oh, and related to that: Ankara Citadel says the minion that has it pays half the cost of cards that the minion plays (round down). Does this also apply to the "burn 1 blood" cost of the FA if I fail to block? In other words, how much blood does a minion with the Ankara Citadel burn if he/she uses Forced Awakening to Telepathically Misdirect a bleed? 2? 1? 0? //Petri

Reactions cards (and Action Modifier cards) last for the duration of the current action, by default. > Oh, and related to that: Ankara Citadel says the minion that has it > pays half the cost of cards that the minion plays (round down). That one blood is not the "cost" of the FA, but part of the effect of playing FA. > In other words, how much blood does a minion with the Ankara > Citadel burn if he/she uses Forced Awakening to Telepathically > Misdirect a bleed? 2? 1? 0? 1 (for the FA). -- L. So, after failing to block due to insufficient intercept, using the same FA still, it is possible to bounce the bleed.. Would that be affected by Faceless Night? ie would playing it necessitate another FA to be played to do the bounce or is the superior effect superfluous in this case? - Ron -

Right. > Would that be affected by Faceless Night? ie would playing it > necessitate another FA to be played to do the bounce or is the superior > effect superfluous in this case? Faceless Night (superior) doesn't tap the would-be blocker until the action resolves (successfully or not) - this is so because otherwise the freshly tapped vampire couldn't play any reaction cards to attempt to increase his intercept. Regardless, however, Faceless Night would merely tap the already tapped vampire. Forced Awakening (still in effect) would continue to allow him to play reaction cards and/or attempt to block as if he was untapped. [ quoted text not captured ]
