Would a successful Justicar Retribution vote burn a standard (1-bleed) vampire with a Spying Mission? That is, does the spying mission only apply at the moment the next bleed is successful, or at all times until that point? -- L. The +2 bleed only kicks in under the condition described by Spying Mission, so wouldn't be counted by Justicar Retribution etc. Tom Wylie rec.games.trading-cards.* Network Representative for aa...@cats.ucsc.edu Wizards of the Coast, Inc.

The spying mission doesn't give the vampire a current bleed of +2. It's the next time that that vampire attempts to bleed the "mission"ed methuselah it's at +2, like they'd played a Gov. the Unaligned, for example. You can, however, say goodbye to all the Inner Circle Members, and Vamps with Pulse. -Zach Etrius with pulse, legendary vampire, spying mission, tasha, J.S., laptop, governing the unaligned, and then adding a conditioning...16 BLEED! Well, the Force of Will bleed would only be for 17, since you would no longer have the Spying Mission, but the combination would still be pretty deadly :-). Any Prey dumb enough not to have blocked one of the Three equip/employ actions, or the four actions required to raise Inver.Scot to +3 bleed, or have rushed Etrius during that time (min. four turns after Etrius comes out assuming you have Heidelburg out and the luck of the draw is with you), or Golconda'ed Etrius, or Sudden Reversaled the Legendary Vampire play or one of the Fortitude skill card plays, or *bounce* or at least block either of the monster bleeds deserves to be ousted :-[ We are talking about a 10 card, 3 master phase (4 with Heidelburg), 10 action (2 directed, 8 undirected) combination here. There are probably easier ways of doing things. -- L. Oh I think letting him do that and deflecting the bleed would be pretty satsfying. Rory

I read a design team ruling or something like that where Justicar Retribution does not apply to Inner Circle Members. This makes sense because a Justicar is below a IC in the vamp society.
