LSJ, This question came up tonight in our playgroup... I looked up the past history on this card... I couldnt find my question answered, so here I go. In a tournament, at any time, a player can ask their opponents the amount of pool they have left. Is it legal, after playing Malkavian Prank, to ask how much pool a Methuselah has, so one can do the math to figure out how much pool must be in the player's hand, since the counters in the player's hand are supposed to be drawn from their pool? If not, why not? Thanks. Robert Sachs V:EKN Prince of Naperville, IL

"Each other Methuselah holds between 1 and 4 <counters> <inclusive> in his or her hand. Guess the <number of counters> in each Methuselah's hand. If you guess correctly, you gain that much pool from his or her pool. If you guess incorrectly, that Methuselah gains that much pool from the blood bank." salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm (replace "hotmail" with "yahoo" to email)

If players are getting slanted over this (and say, inquire about counting the blood in the blood bank prior to the selection), then just have each player write down a number from 1 to 4 on a piece of paper and hold it in his or her hand. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I stopped taking the counters from my pool years ago, in part so people would not do like you listed above. Second, when I gained pool, I could not simply toss the counters together, I needed to count out new one in any case. So I just take what I need from the bank, and hopefully get to add them to my pool. Raille

The blood bank is uncountable. :-) "Remember that the number of blood counters in the blood bank is limitless - the bank never runs out." (BH rulebook 2.2) Josh granted, the counters you are currently using for the blood bank might not be as limitless as you would like...

(BH rulebook 2.2) I just grab 8 counters out of the blood bank and hold the excess in my off hand -- Comments Welcome, Norman S. Brown, Jr XZealot Archon of the Swamp
