I was playing a game o jyhad where my predator was a Malkavian S&B deck. I was playing my Tremere Intercept, having fun blocking his foolish attempts at stealth. Then he pulls out Blood Bond, and plays it against my best blocker (Cassandra w/ Sport Bike). I was tapped at the time and unable to block. I don't personally have a Blood Bond and have never before had one used on me, so I was quite suprised when I discover than Cassandra can never again block Leandro (+2 bleed, sup dom (skill card), sup obf). He promptly pulled off a +2 stealth 9 bleed (Leandro w/ Govern the Unaglined, Conditioning, and Lost in Crowds), and I went under. The point of this is: is there anything that can be done about Blood Bond after it's been played? With the Incriminating Video Tape, it can be stolen or destroyed, but it looks like the only way to get rid of Blood Bond is to kill the vamp (not easy to kill Leandro when he's got a handfull of Read Intentions). -- __________________________________________________________ / \ | Conflicts with right and wrong are a sickness of the mind | |___________________________________________________________| | | | I have no tactics. | | I make existance and the void my tactics. | | I have no talent. | | I make a quick mind my talent. | | I have no castle. | | I make the immutable spirit my castle. | | I have no purpose. | | I make wisdom my purpose. | | I have no sword. | | From the state that is above and beyond, | | From thought I make my sword. | _|_________________________________________________________|_ |_____________________________________________________________|

[ quoted text not captured ] Nothing can be done about the Blood Bond; the fact that it cannot be stolen is a double-edged sword: only the person who put it on that vamp cannot be blocked by that vamp... So in this case, only Cassandra could not block Leandro, whereas, with an incriminating videotape, the opponent could swap it around [either by movement actions, or by Heidelburg Castle] and make several of his minions unblockable by Cassandra... -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | "What is a man without the beasts? Correct, and Blood Bond couldn't be moved even if Heidelburg did allow you to move arbitrary cards, since Blood Bond is not played *on* the vampire, but merely names (targets) the vampire. -- L. Golconda is a definate double-bladed sword. Either he just pays two pool and keeps the vamp, or he gains 11 blood. Sure you got rid of a vampire, but he can probably get out two more. I'd rather give him that opportunity to get 2 more [over the course of at least two turns] than have Leandro or another high-cost vampire around with any sort of beefing up--Golconda is even more attractive when they have a few pieces of equipment or nasty retainers, etc. on them.
