Maneuvers and additional strikes

If I use my Magnum .44 to maneuver to long range. Is it necessary to use the Magnum for any additional strikes or can I do other strikes e.g Thrown Sewer Lid. Thanks, Anthony Bar...@student.anu.edu.au
