[ quoted text not captured ] It's an insulated holder for a drink can (soda or beer) to keep it cool. (The shot glass, at least, I can see. If I looked outside my window and say vampires wandering the streets, that's what I'd almost certainly reach for.) --Colin McGuigan

Despite having little to no functionality in its given role (keep drink cool), the Koozie is one of those freebie things which is near to irresistable at the time it is offered, but makes you say "why the hell did I bring this home?" minutes from when you return from your vacation/ convention/ trade show/ whatever. In some parts of the US, the Koozie is also a warning sign: Seen in the hands of not-so-well-off individual on his front porch with his many neighbors actively using them to hold long neck beer bottles is a sure sign you took a wrong turn, and need to backtrack your route immediately. I had no idea you'd diversified into answering on-line beverage cooling questions. I always thought that something like this would make a good edge given the amount of times that fizzy-pop cans get used in our local games. Matt Green

I beleive here in Australia they are known by the more descriptive name of 'stubby holders'. a stubby, of course, being a short, stubby bottle of beer. holds about 375ml. not sure on the exactly volume, though, as i am quite vehemently a non-beer drinker. salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm
