Well it looks like I've suckered a few new friends into playing. Anyway,
I had a question on trap before we start up. If I understand the card
text correctly, it has an automatic press, but sombody can play a press to
end combat anyway. This correct?

Yes. If combat ends through some other means (Strike: Combat Ends,
Elysium, someone going to Torpor, etc.), the trap will also cease.
