Reaction-A question of timing?

Please help.... Can anybody shed some light on TIMING for REACTION cards? We recently hit upon a cause for debate when one of our group bled..then modified with a CONDITIONING,only for his prey to then announce a DEFLECTION sending the enhanced bleed on to his predator. Is the order of play: a)announce action, b)modify action c)react or: a)announce action, b)react c)modify action Obviously the example above caused a ruck as two of our group are brothers. The strange thing is that we have all been playing for at least three years without the situation arising...is it a case of over- exposure blindness or are we suddenly doing something fundamentally wrong? In the end we did agree that it was an issue of timing i.e. when a bleed is determined to be successful. Is there a point at which a bleed becomes "accepted"? The counter argument centred around TELEPATHIC COUNTER and it's ability to be played after a bleed is successful. We all did agree however that it would be a good idea to ask the forum, so any pointers?...... Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/

Legal. See the last paragraph in "6.2 Taking an Action". > Is the order of play: a)announce action, b)modify action c)react > or: a)announce action, b)react c)modify action a) announce modify/react as much as you like b) resolve block attempts (with modifiers/reactions as desired) c) resolve the action modify/react some more, as desired (Freak Drive, etc.) > The counter argument centred around TELEPATHIC COUNTER and it's > ability to be played after a bleed is successful. Not blocking is not the same as accepting. Telepathic Counter is played before the bleed is successful. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
