I'm still a "newbie" in the game and i have 2 doubts about situations that might occur: - After a certain vampire is burned (e.g. diablerie) and sent to the hash heap, can the same player bring the same vampire to the active zone (from the inactive zone)? - Can a player bring to the active zone 2 equal cards of the same vampire, paying any amount of blood each turn? Also, my friend *NePHY* wants to know sugestions on how to face (prevent) a combination of Drawing Out The Beast plus Immortal Grapple plus some aggravated hand damage cards. ;) Thanx everyone. .- Luis....@ip.pt (aka The Gothlord) ---------------------- http://enviro.dcea.fct.unl.pt/Gothic/Gothlord

Sure. It's like in the comics. You can never really be sure if a character is truly dead. Fiction abounds with examples of dead characters that turn out not to be dead after all, and the one can always come up with an explanation when the supernatural is involved. Remember Lestaat in INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE. > - Can a player bring to the active zone 2 equal cards of the same vampire, > paying > any amount of blood each turn? He can, but then both vampires become Contested, are flipped over, and are thus no longer active, or even controlled. On his next untap phase, he may yield both cards to avoid burning pool. If he keeps them both he burns 2 pool. If he yields one and keeps the other, he burns one pool, but the card remains uncontrolled (flipped) until the beginning of the next untap phase. It is not a good move. > Also, my friend *NePHY* wants to know sugestions on how to face (prevent) a > combination > of Drawing Out The Beast plus Immortal Grapple plus some aggravated hand > damage > cards. ;) Damage prevention cards (Fortitude, or other) work fine for the aggravated hand damage. Meanwhile, you have +1 hand damage which your opponent cannot dodge or end combat as a strike. "Additional Strike" cards can be used to multiply this damage, and you can play Taste of Vitae to get your blood back. Play Lucky Blows or anthing else that will increase your hand damage. Of course, he probably has damage prevention. In case of Skin of Steel, it might be useful to have retainers that do non-strike damage. Tapping the Elesium, or Mariel, will work. As will avoiding combat. Use stealth to get past him. Do not block his actions. When rushed, block and play Obedience. Rotschreck works fine when he attempts aggravated hand damage. Attack or block with Allies, who are immune to Drawing out the Beast and don't care if damage is aggravated. Equip them with IR Goggles or a .44 Magnum and they will be entirely immune to the stragegy described abov. That's all I can think of right now. Yes. Only controlled vampires count for contesting. Burned vampires are forgotten. > > - Can a player bring to the active zone 2 equal cards of the same vampire, > paying > any amount of blood each turn? Yes, but they will contest each other (turned face-down), so the player won't get any use out of them until she yields all but one. > Also, my friend *NePHY* wants to know sugestions on how to face (prevent) a > combination > of Drawing Out The Beast plus Immortal Grapple plus some aggravated hand > damage > cards. ;) Thoughts Betrayed would do it. Rotschreck would help with the Agg damage. Punching back (with Undead Strength or Lucky Blow) is nice, since you've already got +1 hand damage. Preventing the agg damage with any of the fortitude cards is a good strategy (although you can't prevent the Drawing Out the Beast's superior point of damage). -- L.
