Have you tried checking the White Wolf forums?
Short answer:
He's a Unique Ghoul ally who costs 2 pool has 4 life, 1 strength, 1 bleed.
During your untap, he burns/loses a life. As a +1 stealth (D) action, he can
steal a blood from a vampire controlled by another Methusaleh. He can also burn
a vampire in torpor as a (D) action to gain 2 life.

I don't have the card with me. But from memory, and I'm pretty sure
this is at least mostly accurate:
Gregory Winter
cost: 2 pool (I think?)
Unique ally. 4 life, 1 strength, 1 bleed.
Gregory Winter burns one life during your untap phase. He can
take a (D) action at +1 stealth to steal a blood from a
vampire. He can take a (D) action (at 1 stealth? 0 stealth? I
forget) to burn a vampire in torpor and gain 2 life.

Nope. I actually played the card twice in the Pre-release. He doesn't burn
one blood during the untap phase. His action to steal a blood costs a blood.
Otherwise correct. I don't remember if his action to burn a vamp in torpor
is at stealth or not, but I doubt it.

I agree with Josh. I'm pretty sure that Gregory Winter is on "borrowed time" so
to speak and burns a blood each turn. Also, I'm pretty sure the steal action is
at +1 stealth but the burn vampire part isn't.

Well if that is true, then I cheated during the pre-release. Josh was my
prey, he should have noticed. Luckily the Cheating Phase Never Ends!

It is true. I was lucky enough to get this guy (who will be a major boon
for those Cryptic Mission decks out there, I imagine). You must burn a
blood during the untap phase and the action to steal a blood is at stealth,
but not to burn the vampire.

I did notice! That's why he burned when I blocked his steal action
and Flamethrowered him! Sheesh. ;-)
Cause he started at 4 life, you blocked one of your predator's (Jim's)
actions, going to 3, then you burned one during untap, going to 2,
then took 2 agg damage and he died.
I believe Halcyan's right about the burn action being at 0 stealth,
too.

You're so infernal it's amazing how infernal you are.
Josh
infernalest

Nope, Because I took one off for his action even though it got blocked. For
some reason I thought he had to pay anyway, Like Kalinda, who probably also
doesn't have to pay if the action is blocked. Is it only for card actions
that you don't have to pay if they are blocked?

Yeah it would be a little too powerful if it was at stealth.

No, any action that has a cost, you don't pay if you're blocked.
Goes for Kalinda, Tereza Rostas, any action with a cost, whether
or not it has a library card associated with it. And it would for
Gregory Winter except that his action doesn't cost anything, he
just burns a life during your untap. :-)
I have one at my apartment, I'll show you tonight. Or you can
actually read your copy when you get home. ;-)

how does an ally steal a blood? does it 'magically' turn into life?
because we know that doesn't happen.
is it really just an action to burn a blood on a vampire to gain one
life?
pleeeeease. i need true mechanics. my anus needs retaining.
salem.

LOL! This is quite possibly the best answer anyone could give to an anal
retentive person. I can just see the steam coming out his ears...

Could be wrong, but I thought that the old version of Kalinda required her to
burn blood to *attempt* to use her bleed action...

but i don't _have_ the card. aw man. you're so mean.
i'm awfully tempted to mention that if maybe stinking customs hadn't
held up the pre-release product i might have actually gotten a Gregory
at the pre-release that i travelled 4 hrs interstate for...but that
would just be me being all bitter. O:)
salem....still waiting for CE.

True. Kalinda's original pay-for-attempt card text was errata'ed to its
current form in RTR 23-JUN-1998. That errata was used in the FN reprint.

following the basic "you don't pay for an action that's not succesful"
template i guess =)
