Does Sense vitality's (superior VAL) +1 Stealth get even more stealth from the catacombs and the Humanitas? Sense IS a rescue a vampire from torpor action.... i think it does, just want to be sure. Keeps coming up in games. thanks, jds

Put this card on a ready vampire you control. When attempting to rescue a vampire from torpor, this vampire gets +1 stealth and burns 1 less blood if successful. This vampire cannot commit diablerie. Catacombs, Equipment, 1 blood This equipment card represents a unique location and does not count as equipment while in play. When attempting to rescue a vampire from torpor, the vampire with this location gets +1 stealth and burns 1 less blood if successful. Sense Vitality, Action, 1 blood, Valeren/Fortitude +1 stealth action. [for]: This vampire gains 2 blood. [val]: Rescue a vampire from torpor (this action costs 2 less blood than the normal rescue action). <VAL>: As [val] above, and move one blood from the blood bank to the rescued vampire. It's not a "rescue from torpor" action. It's a "Sense Vitality" action. Sense Vitality does qualify for the + stealth because Catacombs and Humanitas say "attemting to rescue a vampire from torpor" and Sense Vitality(S) says "rescue a vampire from torpor". So attempting a Sense Vitality is attempting to rescue a vampire from torpor. Catacombs and Humanitas will not reduce the cost of Sense Vitality however.

[ quoted text not captured ] Yes. Card text even indicates that it is of that type. You could even benefit from the additional cost resuction if the "rescue" cost was increased (cf Mitchell). -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
