Fellow Methusalehs: Is there an official or prescribed order to the bidding resulting from a Temptation of Greater Power?? There is no reference in the Rulings page. Also, our situation is a little unique, and that is why I ask. Pallando (Osterreich), Xavier (Espana), Tat (Canada), and I (USA) are playing in a Jyhad On Line game (#143) and Xavier just played a TGP. The concern was raised that since we live in 4 different time zones, chaotic real-time first-come-first-served bidding is not as equitable as if we were seated around a real table. Anyway, as moderator (a micro-LSJ if you will) I've taken Marcus' suggestion that we should go clockwise from Xavier for bidding, but I did want to check to see if there was an official ruling. Thanks in advance, Madman Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/

The bidding is conducted in standard auction fashion (since no other order is imposed): bidding is open. > Also, our situation is a little unique, and that is why I ask. > Pallando (Osterreich), Xavier (Espana), Tat (Canada), and I (USA) are > playing in a Jyhad On Line game (#143) and Xavier just played a TGP. > The concern was raised that since we live in 4 different time zones, > chaotic real-time first-come-first-served bidding is not as equitable > as if we were seated around a real table. > > Anyway, as moderator (a micro-LSJ if you will) I've taken Marcus' > suggestion that we should go clockwise from Xavier for bidding, but I > did want to check to see if there was an official ruling. I'd like to point out that you'd have the same problem with Hostile Takeover (which also doesn't state procedure). My best guess it to do what your doing (which is basically following the guidelines to Malkavian Time Auction, a similar card). LSJ? Halcyan 2

I saw that your original post mentioned the JOL games, so maybe you know the answer to my unrelated question :) I've been trying to get signed up for JOL for a while now. I click the link for signing up for the waiting list, emailed off my info, and waited. I thought maybe it took a while, but I've seen the waiting list cycle several times. So I went back, clicked on the link again to sign up for the waiting list, sent off my info again, and I still haven't heard anything or appeared on the list. Anyone have any clues? Is this a private club? Do ya have to know someone? Do ya have to kill someone? Thanks -Vanda

I registered a while ago. BUT: my computer caught a virus. I 've lost most of my 'favourites': can someone send me the URL for JOL? "Wynde" <wy...@attglobal.net> wrote in message news:3A5C6CA3...@attglobal.net... [ quoted text not captured ]
