I was reading some of my cards and was wonder about these 6 cards 1. Movement of the mind: regular text - Press, only usable to end combat. bold text - Maneuver. 2. Read Intentions: regular text - Press, only usable to end combat. bold text - Dodge. does this mean that I can only use these cards if another player plays a card with the same action?? for example, 'vampire a' has IR goggles on and uses the maneuver to goto long range, 'vampire b' uses a MotM and combat ends. Cryptic Mission and Pulse of the Canaille have +1 stealth in bold then regular text then bold text again. is the action in bold only have +1 stealth?? and on the Pluse card, is the inferior the light text and the superior the bold?? now for the last 2 cards, Eagle's Sight and Telepathic Misdirection. both have +1 intercept in light text and then some bold text. Now can i just use these cards to gain intercept. The rules say that if a vampire has a square then they use the regular text and if its a diamond then they can opt to use the bold text. but some cards are very confusing?? at least to me anyways...being a newbie ^_^ Thanks in advance!! Bill

No - the bold text is the superior version. The normal text is the normal (inferior) version. If you have the skill (Thaumaturgy for MotM, Auspex for Read Intentions) at the superior level, you can either the superior or the inferior effect (but not both). If you have the skill at the basic (inferior) level, you can use only the inferior effect. A "Press only usable to end combat" can only be used after a press to continue combat has been played, if that's what you mean. > Cryptic Mission and Pulse of the Canaille have +1 stealth in bold then > regular text then bold text again. is the action in bold only have +1 > stealth?? and on the Pluse card, is the inferior the light text and the > superior the bold?? The bold at the top of the text applies to the whole card (see also "Do Not Replace Until After Combat"). For Cryptic Mission and Pulse, that means that the action, whether performed at the inferior or superior level, has a default of +1 stealth. > now for the last 2 cards, Eagle's Sight and Telepathic Misdirection. > both have +1 intercept in light text and then some bold text. If you have superior Auspex, though, you can elect to use the superior (bold) effect instead. -- LSJ (vte...@wizards.com) VTES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
