Hi, I've a question. Does a press reset the combat to close range even if in the first round a maneuver were used to set it to long range?. During each round of combat, range is always close unless a new (and uncanceled) maneuver sets it at long. Each round starts at short range unless something specifically sets it at long. LSJ is out of town 'til Monday, so we may be without him until then. p. If you look at the online rulebook (the PDF available at the WotC site), in section 6.4.2, Determining Range, the second sentance reads "Close range is the default for each round". But he asked LSJ, so I was just letting laorch know that Scott might be gone for a while. p.

The Jyhad rulebook and the revised rulebook are clear on this point. The V:TES doesn't say either way (the fact was accidentally omitted from that rulebook). -- LSJ (vte...@wizards.com) VTES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
