Spying Mission

I have some questions about "Spying Mission" and how the superior version is used. The text of the card (from the Jyhad ed. if that makes any difference) is as follows: "Only usable when bleeding. Instead of removing pool from the Methuselah you are bleeding, put this card on the acting vampire. Next time this vampire bleeds the same Methuselah, burn this card for +2 bleed." 1. Is a bleed considered successful even if modified by Spying Mission at superior? Would one still take the edge, even though no pool was removed? 2. Can one modifify the bleed with another action-modifier card after playing Spying Mission? For instance, could you play Spying Mission to reduce the bleed to zero, and THEN play Threats to increase the bleed to 1? 3. Do you burn the Spying Mission next time you attempt to bleed, or the next time you successfully bleed? For instance, could you do the following: Agrippina plays Night Moves on your prey, then plays Spying Mission on herself instead of draining pool. On your next turn she again plays Night Moves, and AGAIN plays Spying Mission. You argue that you do not have to burn the first Spying Mission, since you have not really bled your prey. Your prey reluctantly gives in to your arguments, and you continue this process for several rounds until you have 6 Spying Missions on Agrippina. Then you get a normal bleed through, and announce that you are burning all 6 Spying Missions for a total of +12 bleed. Your prey argues that you cannot use more than one identical action modifier card to modify a single action. You argue that it is not an action modifier for the current action, but rather for the 6 previous Night Moves, and that now it is simply a card in play. Besides, you say, the text on the card do not give me a choice. Each card says that it must be burned for +2 bleed at the present time, since this is the next actual bleed, and that card text always takes precedence over general rules. Thoughts anyone?

No. Spying mission is played after the bleed is successful, so the bleed amount may not be modified at that point. >3. Successfully bleed. > For instance, could you do the following: Agrippina plays Night Moves >on your prey, then plays Spying Mission on herself instead of draining >pool. A card in play (like the spying missions on Aggripina) is not subject to one-per-action-per-minion rules like an action modifier is (unless explicitly stated on card text). -- L.
