I would like to know what people think should happen in the following situation: I was being bleed (by my preditor of course) I Deflected him onto my prey (with appropriate card), My prey blocked and then as my preditors strike he played form of the mist... Combat ends, continue action at +1 stealth. Now My preditor said his action was to bleed me, so therefore he was now bleeding me at +1 Stealth. I said that He was bleeding my prey at +1 stealth because that was his action before entering combat. What does everyone else think (or official ruling) about this situation? Sorry if this question has been asked before but I dont get to read this group often and I couldn't find it in the official.answers or FAQ. -- mark - s921...@arcadia.cs.rmit.edu.au -

The card says to continue the action at +1 stealth as if unblocked. I believe his action was directed at you and therefore he should stealth you. His action was directed at you and you could deflect again.

[ quoted text not captured ] Let's see if I can say this w/o getting lost. I think that the action to be stealthed should be the deflected bleed. Meth A: I bleed you. Meth B: I use Deflection, to Meth C. Once the bleed has been Deflected, I think it qualifies as a new action. Meth C: I will block. (Thanks to _my_ predator!) -combat ensues- Meth A: I strike Form of Mist, superior. The card says to continue as if unblocked, and it was Meth C who was blocking, not Meth B. To me, the use of Deflection is not blocking, and changes the action. The action was "I am bleeding My Prey," but has been changed (thru Delection) to "I am bleeding My Prey's prey." The Deflection had already moved the bleed, so you're continuing from that point, and he's bleeding your prey. | If you've got a hot lead on a new | *--Joe--* | PC game, call the announce line at | js...@vt.edu | ** csi...@discus.ise.vt.edu ** | +-------------------------------------+---------------------------------- "Carnivores, oy!" -- Timon, TLK

Peace Mark, My opinion is that you have redirected that bleed to your prey and now it is his problem. I do not know if there is an official ruling. Nil carborundum illigitimi, James R. You are correct. It says "continue the action" not "restart the action". All modifiers and reactions played to that point continue to be in effect. Curt Adams (curt...@aol.com)

I believe his action was directed at you and therefore he should stealth you. His action was > directed at you and you could deflect again. I disagree. The original action was to bleed you. This action was changed when deflection used. The action is now to bleed your prey. When Form of Mist is played combat ends and the current action is continued at +1 stealth. Just my interpretation. --------- Paul Schaaf sch...@u.washington.edu
