Hi! Storyline Tournament is drawing closer, so another question: Is "Return to Innocence" still banned (as listed in the official tournament rules), although it has a new card text? I know that the tournament rules are clear in this, I just want to know if that has been accidently not changed. Again, thanks in advance, Simon P.S.: The new card text (shame on me that it took me over 4 years to realize that there has been a new one): "Bleed. If you successfully bleed your prey for one or more, put this card on the acting vampire. Burn this card if this vampire loses any blood or goes to torpor, or if your prey is ousted. During your next untap, this vampire is removed from play and your prey burns X pool, where X is the capacity of this vampire." [RTR 19980707]

I just wondered why the card text has then been changed at all. IMHO the new Return to Innocence does not need to be banned. By removing the vampire from play, a lot of problems the old version had are solved. It´s also not that easy not to lose any blood until your next untap, when the whole table wants that vampire to lose blood. In addition, one has to play with big vampires, which is a disadvantage in a tournament environment (IMHO). If Return to Innocence would be taken off the ban list, that would leave only Madness of the Bard (which I like). Please, think about it. Regards, Simon

It has been thought about. That concept is inherent in "purposefully not changed". See "Return Innocence banned group:rec.*.jyhad" on Google for more discussion. [ quoted text not captured ]
