Accronym lovers and V:TES players: our game needs your helps slaying the lumbering CCG behemoth of Magic. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/22417/item/441218#item441218 The mighty V:TES has got to the last 4 of the ultimate CCG challenge on Board Game Geek and we need more bodies to throw into the breach. We need, thumbs, people: thumbs. We need to crush Magic much like the way V:TES abused and soiled Middle Earth: the Wizards in the last round and, before that, sent the shocking cardboard horror that was the BattleTech CCG back to the darkest reaches of the web where it rightfully belongs (until such time that all the remaining cards have been burned and its remaining player found and violated with a spork). For victory! At least until the inevitable defeat by Netrunner in the final! Matt Green

[ quoted text not captured ] If you vote, remember to click the thumbs up for the game itself. Don't get distracted by comments that follow the game entry (and click on the comment instead of the game itself). (cough, librarian and lactamaeon, cough)

Although I'm very upset that they broke the rules but not letting my prince title count as two votes, and so I've officially banned them from any of tournaments I organize! Then again, it is kinda like a free states rant... maybe all titles are worth one less vote? (I wonder, does LSJ get 3 votes (4-1) then for being Inner Circle, or have they shafted him as well?)

[ quoted text not captured ] 1. You can give the whole list a thumbs up. 2. You can give VTES a thumbs up. 3. You can give Oscar's comment on VTES a thumbs up. 4. You can give Chris's comment on the list a thumbs up. These can be done in any combination. Only #2 matters for the poll.

[ quoted text not captured ] How did you know about this challenge? I have tried looking for it on the BGG site, but end up always having to use the link you provide above. How would I get to the challenge by navigating BGG? Vegas gNat

How would I get to the challenge by navigating BGG? You could search "Geeklists" for "CCG" on BGG. Or you could be a BGG regular who happens to look at all the new geeklists as they appear. I have no idea how Mr. Green himself found out about it, however.

[ quoted text not captured ] Having read some of the previous threads in this challenge, the Spoils playgroup was soundly admonished for "ballot stuffing". Apparently, the contest is supposed to only be for BoardGameGeek "regulars", and as such, to get bum's rushed by outsiders (like myself) is seen as not quite kosher... It remains to be seen if VTES actually is allowed to beat MTG and move on to the finals. I don't see a follow up thread for the finals yet, although this list was supposed to end on June 24. Maybe LSJ or Matt can find the next finals thread and post it here... best - chris -- Super Fun Cards http://stores.ebay.com/superfuncards/ auct...@superfuncards.com

It was an excellent ballot stuffing response from the V:TES community in the last round. I hope a few more people got interested in BGG as a result, it's a fine website. Cheers, Matt Green
