Yes, both vampires will go to torpor. >-if the blocking vampire manages to burn the opposing vampire using >"decapitate", will he go to torpor at the end of combat ? If he takes aggravated damage, and it is not prevented in any way, he will go to torpor. So even if he prevents all the damage inflicted by the opposing minion during normal combat, he will still go to torpor from the DotB. Note that he can't play Decapitate if he is going to torpor from damage other than the DotB, per card text. >-can the blocking vampire suffer "amaranth" and see his blood sucked by >the acting gangr -er vampire ? as DotB's damage happens during combat, i'd say yes, the acting minion could play Amaranth, assuming the acting minion wasn't going to torpor him/herself. >-if the blocking vampire plays "undead persistance" to go another round, >can he play amaranth on the acting vampire if he manages to wound him >? or is it illegal since he will go to torpor sooner or later ? Undead Persistence sends you to torpor AFTER combat, so I'd say that yes, you would be able to play Amaranth. While combat continues, you are "Persistent" and wounded, but not actually going to torpor. >-if the blocking vampire (Aramis) plays "backstab, coma, amaranth" in a >row ? is he forced to play "undead persistance" before amaranth ? No, as he has suffered no damage during the combat. He will take one point of agg at the end of the round, and go to torpor himself, though. >-except for "skin of night", "Fire Dance" and "heart of darkness" is >there any other mean to prevent the aggravated damage from "DotB/DayOp" There is no way to prevent the aggravated damage (card text 'unpreventable' from DotB). Merrill Molitor's ability would work to change it to normal, though, as would Death Pact. >-By the way, when a vampire plays combat end, there's no place for >additional strike or presses. Great Cthulhu would agree. =) >-I've understood, there's no way to escape this stupid combo. I should >make up my mind... *shrug* Don't block, and presto, you've escaped it totally. Or play with plenty of Skin of Night yourself. -- Derek Jack-Booted Thug of Atlanta
