have a Question about Graverobbing, card text say "in any graveyard", so it could be yours ??? see this combo, player A Mind rape a vampire of player 2 player A use the Raped vampire to bleed using a Day Op so after action vampire goes to player A torpor zone. Player A use another vampire to Graverob this Mind Raped Vampire. Do player A gain permamant control of this vampire ?? TzimisceLord, Primogen, Paris

In article <8ubghr$l5g$1...@s1.read.news.oleane.net>, [ quoted text not captured ] No. As I understand D actions cannot be taken against yourself. Your opponent will still get his vamp back at the end of your turn and without it being in torpor too. My copy says "any Methuselah's Torpor area" :-) > see this combo, > player A Mind rape a vampire of player 2 > player A use the Raped vampire to bleed > using a Day Op so after action vampire goes to > player A torpor zone. > > Player A use another vampire to Graverob this Mind Raped > Vampire. Yes. This would be a 0-stealth undirected action. > Do player A gain permamant control of this vampire ?? If the action is successful, yes. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Links to revised rulebook, rulings, errata, and tournament rules: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/

Your (D) identifies the action as one that is typically directed. If you target a card you control with the action, however, the action is undirected. Nothing on Graverobbing prevents you from choosing a vampire in your own Torpor region. > opponent will still get his vamp back at the end of your turn and > without it being in torpor too. -- [ quoted text not captured ]

See James Coupe here: > As with all (D) actions directed at yourself, they work as if they > were an undirected action. Your prey gets first chance to block, > and then your predator. See page 26 in the Sabbat War Rulebook. "The target Methuselah may try to block the action with any of her ready untapped minions. If the action doesn't target another Methusaleh (or targets more than one), then the minions of the prey and predator may try to block." Read the above as - Card Text tells you what the card does. If it targets another Methuselah or the cards they control, it is a directed action and only that Methuselah can block (barring Anneke / eagle's sight). If it does not target cards another Methuselah controls it is undirected and may be blocked by your prey or predator. You may take a GraveRobbing action against a vampire in your own torpor region and it does allow you to take permanent control of that vampire. The action may be blocked by either your prey or your predator. In article <8ubr8k$meu$1...@nnrp1.deja.com>, [ quoted text not captured ] I already gathered from LSJ that my statement was wrong. I should have known though, as we had a similar argument a while back. I'm sorry for any confusion that occurred, just trying to help out. I just could not believe that this simple combo would work this way. Kinda evil ain't it?
