If a vampire is brought into play with Illusions of the Kindred, Combat, 2 blood, Chimerstry, V3 , [AH:V3, FN:PR] Only usable before range is determined. [chi] Combat ends. Move the bottom card of your crypt to your ready region. He or she does not contest any other vampires or titles in play. The vampire has an amount of blood equal to half of his or her capacity (round down). Combat begins between the vampire and the opposing minion. Remove the vampire from the game at the end of combat. [CHI] As above, but the vampire has an amount of blood equal to his or her capacity. and burns directly in the combat, I assume it goes to your ash heap instead of being removed from the game? If it plays ameranth in the combat, will there be a bloodhunt before it is removed from game and if so if the vampire burns, does it go to the ash heap?

LSJ has ruled that it goes to the ash heap - at which point, it is out of reach of Illusions of the Kindred's "remove from game" effect, because it doesn't explicitly target the vampire in the ash heap. <http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/6888fc 29e5ce1a4e> *** > my Illusion of the Kindred diablerizes another vampire through > Amaranth, a bloodhunt is called and it is not in my favor : > A) does my illusion burn and goes to ash heap? > B) does my illusion burn and goes to ash heap and then is removed? > C) does my illusion simply remove from the game? > D) does my illusion remove before the bloodhunt (since the combat > would be ended)? A. *** That it happens in combat means the ruling is slightly confusing, re: the above ruling about the Methuselah choosing. The resolution to this may be that - elsewhere - LSJ has pointed out that you can't play Reform Body (either as a reaction or as a combat card) to save a diablerist who is burned while playing an Amaranth. The point is that although there is a combat, the Bloodhunt referendum takes precedence, pushing the combat into the background. So it may be the case that the Bloodhunt referendum takes priority over the combat effect of the IotK in a similar way. LSJ may want to clarify one way or the other. -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D YOU ARE IN ERROR. EBD690ECD7A1FB457CA2 NO-ONE IS SCREAMING. 13D7E668C3695D623D5D THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.
