Kamiri Wa Ithero and burning

Hi all, hopefully not too taxing a hypothetical question: Kamiri Wa Ithero is very very poorly. He (she?) attempts a reasonably big bleed on his imbued prey. The imbued player blocks, and combat occurs. During the course of the combat, the plucky human manages to strike with sufficient agg to outright burn Kamiri. Combat ends. Does the imbued burn? My feeling is that he does - the conditions for Kamiri's ability to come into effect have both been satisfied. Namely: "If an ally blocks Kamiri and combat occurs, burn the ally at the end of the action." an ally has blocked, and combat has occurred. My arch nemesis, Shockwave, is of the opinion that at the end of combat, since Kamiri is no longer in play, his special can't come into effect, so the imbued walks away realtively unharmed. [ quoted text not captured ] You are. Kamiri's ability is stated as an effect that triggers at block-and-combat-begins time. The effect sets up a delayed burn. Contrast with: "At the end of an action Kamiri attempted during which combat occurred with an ally as a result of a block, burn that ally."
