Yes. One each Methuselah's turn, a vampire can take a bleed action. See section 3.19 of the FAQ. http://www.thelasombra.com/vtes_faq.htm Carpe noctem. If you can get the Malkavian concerned to untap (possible, but not entirely trivial), yes. -- James Coupe "Never give in to them," she whispered. Malkavians with Protean can get a Homunculus to allow them to untap between other people's turns. It gets expensive, so you need to use the 5th Traditional Hospital to fill them up again. Here's an example: Malkavian "Mini Me" Deck that I played at GenCon 2000: -Vampires (12) Greger Anderssen (x3) Gilbert Duane (x3) Zebulon (x3) Victoria (x3) -Masters (18) Madness Network (x7) Elysium: The Arboretum Protean (x6) Dominate (x4) -Retainers/Equipment (10) Homunculus (9) Aaron's Feeding Razor -Actions (19) Pulse of the Canaille (x3) Scouting Mission (x6) 5th Tradition: Hospitality (x10) -Action Modifiers (24) Bonding (x5) Command of the Beast (x4) Faceless Night (x4) Swallowed by the Night (x5) Spying Mission(x6) -Reactions (5) Obedience (x5) -Combat (14) Claws of the Dead (x7) Flesh of Marble (x7) Regards, Noal McDonald

I notice that it has no defense and no pool gain other than Victoria. All go, go, go! Eh? I'm most curious. How did it do at GenCon and how does it do in general? -Ben Swainbank

Probably could ditch it for something more useful, like KRCG. The Scouting Missions can be used for pool gain, though. The Flesh of Marble/Wolf's Claws made it scary for rush combat decks to come calling. Considering that they tend to be the biggest bane of S&B decks, it's usually defense enough. > All go, go, go! Eh? That's how most of my decks are. These days, it's impossible to guess what I have to defend against, so I don't usually bother. I also try to keep speed in mind when designing my more esoteric decks. If your Killer Kombo takes 8 turns to set up, it's not going to work very well. Witness a Dirty Contract/Sacrificial Lamb/Demonic Posession Samedi deck that I buil that fell flat on its face. > I'm most curious. How did it do at GenCon and how does it do in general? That GenCon was rough. It was the Year of the Bloat Decks. If I had built in some intercept to stop others from going to the 5th Traditional Hospital, it would have done much better. Considering how well the Salubri pair up with the !Ventrue, I expect to see another wave of bloat decks. As a result, next I time I build it, I'll add Telepathic Misdirections. Overall, it generally is an extremely effective deck. I may want to revisit it once the new Camarilla set comes out. If there are more Malk Princes or Malks with Protean, it may make the crypt more robust. Regards, Noal McDonald V:EKN Prince of Metro Detroit
