No. I coined the term some time ago in a discussion on Card Limit versus
No Card Limit Jyhad. It was well agreed at the time that the game had a
few problems, but was _SO_ close to being just right. It was discovered
(through numerous groups playtesting, etc) that two house rules fixed
virtually all of the problems:
1) No repeat actions (a minion cannot attempt the same action type twice
in a turn)
2) No vote pushing (this varies, but generally, only one political
action card, per political action, per Methuselah)
The DCI continued with a relatively broken tourney format, and I
instituted the SPTR (Sensible Player's Tournament Rules for Jyhad), which
included the above rules. Eventually, the DCI adopted a variant of the
Golden Tenets as a part of their Special Floor Rules:
1) No minion can use the same action type twice in a round.
2) Political Action cards used explicitly for votes are not replaced
until the end of the minion phase.
After extensive playtesting, my playgroup has decided to continue using
the old Golden Tenets. We have found that the 2nd Tenet of the DCI has
not been effective in stopping Weenie Vote Push decks.
