Smiling Tom, The Anarch

Guess what... It has happened again: In an Anarch precon deck, here it comes Lambach Advanced. Just like xaviar did some months ago. A guy from barcelona has published its stats in our vtes yahoo forum, hope soon he'll scan it Lambach Tzimice 10 capacity, pre ANI AUS DOM VIC Advanced, Independent: Lambach has 2 votes. He can equip with the Eye of Hazimel at no cost from your library as a +1 stealth action (shuffle afterward). MERGE: He untaps when he successfully performs an action to put a vampire in play. Wow. The merged plus the eye for free, +2 strength. pre ANI AUS POT DOM CHI VIC, aggro ability. Guess the merged is relative to embrace or alike cards. Or the storyline-relative card, can't remember the name Smiling Tom, scandalmonger

Interesting. The ability to bring out the Eye of Hazimal is something that I hope would have been revealed well before the tournament began. ------------------------- Cambridge by Night. http://www.geocities.com/eryx_uk/Cambridge_by_night.html

Clearly the Merge special comes into effect when he uses The Embrace, Creation Rites, Abomination, and Third Tradition / Create Gargoyle (assuming he meets the conditions for the latter two). I'm curious whether this includes Possession and Daemonic Possession (the key word there is "move", but you're still putting a vampire in play, no?). If this is indeed the card (and after all the slip-ups we've seen in the past, I'm no longer as cynical as before), I'm actually okay with this version. Doesn't seem to be overly powerful and it seems to fit pretty well thematically. Halcyan 2

So merged Lambach with the Eye will have the following stats: 10 capacity, pre ANI AUS DOM VIC POT CHI Strength +2 Bleed +1 Pay 1 less for combat cards Inherant rush All that in exchange for 11 total pool, 14 total transfers, an action to equip the Eye and 1 pool a turn. Does the merged Lambach get 2, 3, or 5 votes? That part of merging I'm not understanding. Does the 2 votes of the Advanced Lambach override the Cardinal of the basic Lambach, do they add together, or what? And is he Sabbat or Independant? Is it based on which one was in play first? (Hmmmm... add Talbot's Chainsaw... Precognizant Mobilities... Merged Lambach multi-rush deck with AUS weenies?)

Based off of the current rulings (in which the Advanced version takes precedence if there's a conflict), Merged Lambach will be Independent (not Sabbat), and will have a titled 2 votes from an Indie title (not 3 votes from a Cardinal title). Guess he's pretty much given up on the Sabbat...couldn't blame him though! ;) Halcyan 2

He gets 2, the advanced one's sect takes precedence, and he's independent there, and sadly enough, there aren't any independent cardinals. If you make him sabbat though, you can choose him to be cardinal, giving up the 2 votes he had when he was independent. -Bram Vink

Changing sect only would allow you to do that - the title would go dormant. If you gain a new title, however, you automatically give up the old title - whether it was dormant or not. It's not there for you to claim when you go back to being Sabbat. [ quoted text not captured ]

If you merge Lambach^ up onto Lambach, then Lambach[[] is independant with a title (2 votes). This title will displace Lambach's cardinal title. If Lambach[[] then becomes Sabbat, he will not have a cardinal title to re-gain the effects of. He will still have his (2 votes) title, which is not dependant on sect. You could call a Cardinal Benediction on him, though, if you had turned Lambach[[] Sabbat. If it passed, the Cardinal title would displace the (2 votes) title. salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm

>Guess he's pretty much given up on the Sabbat...couldn't blame him >though! ;) Well, from Children of the Inquisition (or was it Kindred Most Wanted), we learn that Lambach is probably the only Tzimice that knew his Antideluvian was not diablerized. Then, he encounters that same Antedeluvian beneath New York City during the seige of NYC (Nights of Prophecy). This is probably where he became aware of the Eye, as well. The Sabbat exists to destroy th Antedeluvians, not be the pawns of them. He's now using the Eye (which from the Storyline fiction piece tells us is controlled by the Tzimice Antedeluvian) to create a legion of Tzimice loyal only to him (and through him, the Antedeluvian). That pretty much goes against everything the Sabbat stands for. I had predicted when they announced the tournament that the Advanced Lambach would be Independent. Glad to know I was right for a change. *chuckle* Fanboy

Is that the exact wording of the Merged ability? Is it any action that ends successfully with a new vampire being in play? Would it work for Abomination? What about with Revelation of the Sire? It's not an action that creates a new vampire, but it implies that Lambach did create one...

[ quoted text not captured ] That and I wonder how much of a cross-over his special will have with the card text of Legion. I have a feeling that Legion is going to allow you to take an action, obviously at some cost, to take an action to embrace a minion. Would probably require you to play a skill card from your hand or something similar. Fun times ahead if that's the case, y'all. I'm lining up some folks who aren't VEKN members to come joing the fray so I can grab a couple of these cards. :)
