Henrik Isaksson

We were unfotrunate enough to end up with 11 players, so we tried out a non-archon allowed setting. 4 prelimenary rounds where everyone sat out one game each, leaving everyone at 3 games played. It worked out quite nicely, as we didn't need to stop for food as everyone could eat when they weren't playing. The participants were: Sten Düring - Played a funny weenie concealed saturday night special with dragon breath rounds. Scared a lot of people but failed to score more that 1 VP. Beatrice Düring - played a deck with 15+ temptation. Caused a lot of havoc, and got herself 1 GW and 3 VP. Alex Hall - played a diversion deck, with some walking sticks. Didn't like to get his cardless go anarch actions blocked... no VPs. Henrik Oscarsson - played gangrel w. serpentis for temptations. Lots of earthmelds and form of mists. 6,5 VP and 1 GW. Roger "zeroVP" Carhult - played Lasombra fortitude deck. Looked pretty toolboxy... 0 VP... PO Nilsson - Played his ani-cel deck. Forgot terror frenzy and drawing out the beast. Scored zero. Martin Johansson - group 2-3 highcap tremere with anathemas and lot's of theft and telepathic tracking. 4 VP and a GW. Joakim Rapp - classic Eurobrujah close range deck. 4,5 VP and a GW. Johan Carlson - nice war ghoul deck with anarch angle. Used cry wolf to rush and then "feed" a new warghoul. Also stealth and intercept stuff from being anarch. 1,5 VP. Daniel Bakken - Some kind of gangrel deck with dog packs for anti-CE. 0 VP. Henrik Isaksson - Kiasyd stealth bleed/intercept combat deck. 11 VP, 3 GW. Final seating: Beatrice -> Henrik Oscarsson -> Martin Johansson -> Henrik Isaksson -> Joakim Rapp Final started out quite slow, noone wanting to draw the table's attention on him as there were plenty of oppurtunites for crosstable interaction (two temptation deck, theo bell on the eurobrujah side, powerbase montreol out for example) I (henrik isaksson) didn't draw and stone travel in the beginning and therefor didn't dare attack the brujahs (who I know was packing plenty of 2nd tradition). I had 4 minions out for a while even though the tremere blocked 4 superior govern, but theo bell pulled the disarm amarath trick on Kassiym reducing the squad to 3. Beatrice had after a while temptated all for brujahs two of my minions and one gangrel and put pressure on the gangrels. The gangrels managed to oust the tremere though (who didn't succed with anything in the game) and put a Gambit accepted in play. I was thinking about back-ousting the gangrels with Julias abilty (bleed anyone) but didn't have stealth. It was very close, but the setites eventually died to the brujahs. After that, it got even closer with a serie of governs the brujahs were ousted. Marconius had at this time mr winthrop, IR goggles, eternal vigilance and the rack, and with both players almost out of cards the gangrels couldn't get through, not even with help of gambit. Me made a ruling error in the end, when Henrik O wanted to withdraw. We thought he'd get the gambit VP plus his own, giving us 2 each, and as I wanted the GW I didn't allow it. After reading ruling I think the gambit VP would have disappeared, which would have given gangrels 1, brujah 1 and kiasyd 2, which I would have allowed (better a guarantied GW with 2 VP than a good chance on a GW with 4 VP) No support from WW, as it's too messy to get it nowadays... Decklist: Deck Name: Kiasyd Stealth bleed/Intercept combat Created By: Henrik Isaksson Description: Get Marconius out and govern out the smaller ones. Exploit the intercept/stealth card aura absorption. Also stone travel means you don't get into combat when your acting, which makes life easier! =) The rack + eternal vigilance wins the endgame every time! The gambit says "at the end of the agme, if you have not been ousted, you gain an additional vp". If you withdraw succcessfully then you have not been ousted and consequently you get the additional VP. I think that the only way for a game to lose VPs is though a time-out.

(url points out that the Gambit burns when you withdraw)

If the card is still in play, it's text applies. [ quoted text not captured ]
