Hi ! two players remain on a table. They are both at 2 pool. Methuselah 1 has a Fame on his vampire. He sends him on a computer hacking, daring the dawn, so the action is unblocked. What happens ? my guess is : the bleed passes. The Methuselah 2 loses 2 pool, so is ousted. Methuselah 1 gains 1 vp and 6 pool for the oust. Then the daring resolves and methuselah 1 loses 3 pool. Then he's the last man standing and gains another VP. Game ends. is this correct ? Now consider the same situation but a political flux called earlier has determined that the next oust will bring only one pool. Methuselah 1 sends his Famous vamp hacking daring the dawn anyway. What happens ? my guess is : the bleed resolves, meth 2 loses 2 pool, is ousted. Meth 1 gains 1 vp and 1 pool for the oust. Then Daring the dawn resolves and methuselah 1 loses 3 pool, being also ousted in the process. Game ends with one VP lost in the void. is this correct ? reyda

The game is over. You don't put the vamp in torpor, because there is no vamp, because there is no longer a game. Methuselah 1 gets 1 vp for ousting methuselah 2, plus 1 vp for being last person in the game. Also, unless methuselah 1 is a psycho, the Fame would burn when it's controller is ousted, in this case presumably methuselah 2. :) Not that it matters. salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm

I still wonder why the game suddenly stops !

From 9.1 Victory Points: "The game continues until only one Methuselah is left." Implying it does not continue when there is only one methuselah left. >> Also, unless methuselah 1 is a psycho, the Fame would burn when it's >> controller is ousted, in this case presumably methuselah 2. :) >> Not that it matters. > >no, the fame can be controlled by yourself ! you can gain control of the >minion via Spirit marionnette, Mind rape, Hostile takeover etc.... > >I still wonder why the game suddenly stops ! because the criteria for ending the game have been met. :) [ quoted text not captured ]

> I still wonder why the game suddenly stops ! game ends when there is only one methuselah left. the last outed is ousted when the bleed is successful, which is before 'after the action' when the vampire should normally go to torpor as a result of playing daring the dawn.

Go back to the original controller, then goes to torpor... Why hostile takeover a famed vampire? That you famed? It must be a way to decrease the cost/value of that vampire... But how to use it... =D > I still wonder why the game suddenly stops ! 1... once there is only 1 player on the table... the table is done, regardless... Be silly to continue to play chess once you got them in a checkmate... 2... Daring the dawn agg damage happens after the completion of the action... Since the action itself ends the game... Why resolve it... The only thing I can think of is, that your not the last 2... Then you gain the 6 pool the moment your prey is ousted... Then after the action is complete, then the daring the dawn agg damage takes affect...

Why resolve it... yeah, it makes sense. Beside it , it's in the rulebook ;) > The only thing I can think of is, that your not the last 2... > Then you gain the 6 pool the moment your prey is ousted... > Then after the action is complete, then the daring the dawn agg damage > takes affect... that was the point ;)

The only rusher was my grand-predator, and I had a Fame in hand to, so I intended to contest (logically, my Grand-pre would have dropped the contest soon enough). So, things like this can happen...
