1) I play a Trap. Combat goes one round, with my opponent using Majesty to end combat. I play Telepathic Tracking (I presume I can play it even though there could be said to be an "uncanceled press" from the Trap). Does the press from Trap carry over? That is, is there an automatic press at the end of round 2?? And why does Telepathic Tracking have that "uncanceled press" wording, anyway? 2) Is there a way for a vampire to increase his/her strength permanently? Perhaps a piece of equipment (like the Hawg, which gives a press), or perhaps a "Shadow of the Wolf"-type card or a Master card? I don't know of any, but thought I'd ask. Therefore there will be no uncanceled press. > press from Trap carry over? That is, is there an automatic press at the end > of round 2?? Yes, since a card (several cards, in fact: Trap, Majesty, Telepathic Tracking) had been played in the previous round. > And why does Telepathic Tracking have that "uncanceled press" wording, > anyway? > > 2) Is there a way for a vampire to increase his/her strength permanently? > Perhaps a piece of equipment (like the Hawg, which gives a press), or > perhaps > a "Shadow of the Wolf"-type card or a Master card? Yes since combat didn't end. > And why does Telepathic Tracking have that "uncanceled press" wording, > anyway? > Because if there's a press to continue you shouldn't be able to cycle cards by playing a TT to continue as well I guess? That kinda goes against the rule that you cannot play a press to continue if there's already an uncancelled one played. > 2) Is there a way for a vampire to increase his/her strength permanently? > Perhaps a piece of equipment (like the Hawg, which gives a press), or > perhaps > a "Shadow of the Wolf"-type card or a Master card? Art of Pain gives + 2 strength for a !Toreador. Also the Caitiff Smudge gets +1 strength if he commits diablerie.

And in the special case of Smudge, he can diablerize for the first time. Halcyan 2

[ quoted text not captured ] I wouldn't count Brujah Debate or Gangrel revel as permanent, since they both have built-in burn options. Depravity and Art of Pain can be burned by contesting, but that leaves them in the "permanent" class, IMO. And the special case of Smudge, of course, is permanent. [ quoted text not captured ]

Yeah I agree, but it's hard to know what he meant with permanent since they're semi-permanent cards (they increase strength outside combat too). [ quoted text not captured ]
