A vampire enters combat with another using "games of instinct". During combat he plays "undead persistence" at inferior to avoid going to torpor. He then sends opposing vampire to torpor, ending combat. Could he benefit from "games of instinct" refill effect before going to torpor himself? It seems both effects are programmed to the end of combat: Games of instinct: "At the end of that combat, if only one combatant is ready, that ready vampire gains blood equal to the opposing vampire's capacity from the blood bank." Undead persistence: "this vampire will not go into torpor until combat ends"
