A few questions, as promised in the header.
1) Can a Bomb strike be dodged?
2) What effects do Burst of Sunlight and Body
of Sun have on mortal minions/retainers?
3) Can the above cards be dodged by vampires?
4) What's the big idea of having Strike:Dodge
beat First Strike resolution-wise? A vampire
with superior Celrity can miss a two-bit two-
capacity in hand to hand? I mean, just because I
don't have him play a Blur or Nimble Feet, doesn't
mean he's still faster'n hell... I try, but still
don't understand this rule. <sigh...>
Thanks much for listening...

All strikes may be dodged. The bomb strike may not be dodged by
the Minion using the bomb (since he has already used his strike).

Any aggravated damage done to Allies/Retainers is treated as normal damage.
[12.3.1]
Aggravated damage (see Resolve Strike, Sec. 15.1) is treated the same as
regular damage to an ally.

All strikes may be dodged, so yes.

Dodge says it negates the effect of the opponent's strike [15.3].
Since many people don't get the dodge negating a strike already resolved
(which it does), the DT simply moved it to a higher percedence so that
it would have the same result and be clearer.

Peace Gord,
Yes, a Bomb can be Dodged as it is a Strike.

BurstoS has no effect on retainers/mortals (see card text).
BodyoS does its damage to retainers/mortals (see card text).

Yes, Burst & Body are both Strikes.

Game balance. To prevent Celeritous combat from being too powerful
Dodge needs to be effective against all Strikes, including First Strike.
I play Brujah combat and this doesn't bother me. Whenever someone Dodges
my first attack, I Blur and hit them twice more because they have annoyed
my minion (who probably would have taken it easy on them otherwise).
