Does Path of the Metamorphosis enable you to play the superior version of Chiropteran Marauder without having to burn the one pool for the aggravated hand damage? Tuomas Rinta

The Path of Metamorphosis Unique Master. Put this card in play. Tzimisce burn one less blood when playing cards that require Vicissitude. Chiropteran Marauder [VIC] This vampire can pay one blood to make the damage from his or her hand strikes aggravated for the current round. So paying blood is different from burning? That sounds a little strange. I'd rather say that the cost isn't paid "when playing cards...". The card is played first, the blood is paid afterwards. Correct?

That 1 blood is not the cost of playing the card, however. 2) Blood "paid" is burned, yes.
