When Charnas the imp is contested, who pays for it? The 'victim' player, or the person who played the card in the first place. Also, suppose Charnas is already in play. You want to pull out another Charnas for some reason. When does he become contested - before or after you have decided on a victim. Who has first option to yield control of a contested card? Also, who is Charnas' controller - it's victim, or the vampire who first called him out. Will far mastery allow you to choose a new victim, or does it make the vampire using the far mastery card become the new victim? -James

The victim player controls Charnas, and would be the one to pay for the contest (yeah, right :-). >Also, suppose Charnas is already in play. You want to pull out another >Charnas for some reason. Before the action is completed, Charnas (the second copy) is not yet in play. >Who has first option to yield control of a contested card? Whoever gets to their untap phase first. Yielding is only done during untap (or as specified by Praxis Solomon). >Also, who is Charnas' controller - it's victim, or the vampire who first >called him out. Far Mastery does not bestow any means of placing the retainer on a different minion, so whoever uses Far Mastery is Charnas' new host. Charnas can only be placed when employed or (as per card text) when his current host is burned. -- L.
