Hello I got a few questions regarding final loosening at basic auspex reaction , requires an anarch , no cost [aus] play when the acting vampire would gain 1 ore more blood . The acting vampire and this reacting anarch each gain 1 blood instead. Lets say theres a referndum , arika voted a KRC with a bewitching and it passes with 9 votes in favor. can my untapt anarch with basic auspex play the final loosening to limit her blutgain to one and gain a blood himself? assuming yes , because the vote is still part of the action. Lets say my grandpredators miller harrases and beats up one of my predators vampires and succsesfully inflicts 6 damage and plays a taste of vitae , can my anarch play TFL to limit his bloodgain to one and gain one blood himself? assuming yes again , because a combat is part of the action (see replacement ruling for Bums Rush)

You don't have that overturned on Final Loosening, so you can't play it during combat. -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D YOU ARE IN ERROR. Well, she's not gaining any blood with just a KRC and BO. If she plays Voter Captivation to gain 9, though, you can respond with Final Loosening to replace the "Arika gains 9 blood" effect with a "Arika gains 1 blood" effect together with a "this anarch gains 1 blood". If she plays Voter Captivation to gain 7 blood while her controller gains 2 pool, then you could play Final Loosening. In that case, Arika would gain 1 blood, her controller would gain 2 pool, and the anarch would gain 1 blood. >> Lets say my grandpredators miller harrases and beats up one of my >> predators vampires and succsesfully inflicts 6 damage and plays a >> taste of vitae , can my anarch play TFL to limit his bloodgain to one >> and gain one blood himself? >> >> assuming yes again , because a combat is part of the action (see >> replacement ruling for Bums Rush) > > No. Only combat cards can be played in combat. > > 6.4 of the rulebook: "Note: The only minion cards that can be played > during combat are combat cards (unless a card states otherwise, of > course)." > > You don't have that overturned on Final Loosening, so you can't play it > during combat. [PRE] As above, but move up to 2 of those blood counters to your pool instead of this vampire. He gain X blood / I play Final Loosening = He gain just 1 blood that mean at SUP he can move "2 of those blood counters" in pool. I think he gain 1 blood or 1 pool, while he didn't gain X blood jus 1 blood thanks Zsolo (Košice)

Voter Captivation superior lets you move 2 of the blood that would move to the vampire to your pool *instead* - it never goes via the vampire. So FL limits the amount of blood the vampire gains but since the 2 pool never goes to that vampire, FL doesn't touch it. [ quoted text not captured ]

sorry but see the answer on A hunts B and C gains blood LSJ wrote: Final Loosening overwrites the rule "gains blood" "gains X blood"is overwrited by "gain 1 blood and the reacting anarch gain 1 blood" the superior text VotCapt say "as above ..." he did not gain more than 1 blood and up to 2 from those he can move into his pool = max 1 pool

[ quoted text not captured ] Quote some context to make it easier for others (including me) to see what you're saying, please. Voter Captivation: "As above" (and, at this point he hasn't gained any blood at all and Final Loosening has not been played). Then Final Loosening is played. So let's break that down: Above: gain 9 blood As above but: gain 7 blood and 2 pool. (These two aren't really two at all, just a description of the grammatical process that produces the latter effect). Final Loosening: gain 1 blood, 2 pool, and anarch gains 1 blood.

If the acting Methuselah chose to take both blood gained from Voter Cap to his pool, then the acting vampire is not gaining any blood, and thus Final Loosening can't be played - since by text it is played "when the acting vampire would gain 1 or more blood". Therefore, the blood taken to the Methuselah's pool instead of put on the vampire cannot be affected by Final Loosening, only the remaining amount of blood that would be placed on the vampire. -John Flournoy
