who can block actions taken to burn the Madness Network? Unique Master: After any Methuselah has finished with actions during his or her turn, any untapped malkavians can take an action. Any minion can burn this card with an action that any untapped Malkavian can attempt to block. Go cllockwise from the acting Methuselah if two or more Malkavians attempt to take actions or block at the same time. If I play the MadNet, can my muddles attempt to block the action to burn it? I don't think so (card text mentions nothing about it being a D action, or anything of that sort. Just explicitly includes all (untapped) malks.), but was hoping someone could tell me for sure. [ quoted text not captured ] Well, the ruling appears to be: Malkavians may block *in addition* to the normally eligible blockers. [RTR 19950530] It seems to be an undirected action, but any action against a card controlled by another Methuselah, their minions, etc, becomes a (D) action against that Methuselah. So, if it's your Muddles and your Network, you get first chance to block (as with all (D) actions), with Muddles if you wish. If you decline, *then* the other untapped Malkavians can attempt to block, as specified by card text. -- Pat Ricochet Soul Jar'rn Fool of Atlanta
