House Rule for FAME

Not to beat this subject to death but I propose the following house rule/ fix for Fame: Allow Fame to be STOLEN from the famous vampire by any other ready minion, as long as the famous vampire is not currently in torpor. This would allow several things. First off, it is realistic in the sense that someone else can steal the limelight, and thus the benefits, of the Fame. Also it provides a way to get rid of Fame ie. an ally stealing it, whereby it becomes useless, and then sooner or later getting burned himself. Lastly, its still a really powerful card but you'll think twice about putting it out when your predator can steal it from you (Hell, he could even steal it with a Day Op of his own and then go to torpor). Anyway, I haven't played with this Rule yet, just an idea. Eryn PS-that'd be a (D) action.

The way our group has been playing is that Fame can remove 6 blood from the vampires prey then the vampire losses his fame. It still gives the card a lot of power but not the overwhelming power it once had. I do however really like your idea. I think those wacky designers (closet monsters) meant for it to be used to keep a vampire out of torpor... not to put them in :'>

Seems like a simpler fix to have the fame loss only occur if the torpor was the result of combat with another Meth's minions. Optionally, that Meth could suffer the fame losses, also. -- Eric Pettersen pe...@cgl.ucsf.edu (NeXTmail capable) These opinions are mine; get your own.

The single line attributed to Tom Wylie was all there _was_ to the original post (in this thread); there is a much fuller ewording saying basically the same thing in the new FAQ. This fix _is_ a DTR, but will probably be implemented on the card when the next edition comes out.
