[pre] Prevent 1 damage. [val] Only usable before range is determined.
This vampire may prevent 1 damage from the opposin minion`s strikes
each round. Frenzy cards cannot be played on this vampire; cancel the
effects of any Frenzy cards that already have been played on this
vampire this combat. [VAL] As [val] above, but this vampire may prevent
2 damage from the opposin minion`s strikes each round.
This card prevent 1 (or 2) damage to EACH strike in each round, or
prevent 1 (or 2) damage from a strike in each round?
Eg: play Armor at VAL. Opposing minion with POT - CEL. Play Torn
Signpost then Blur. h3+h3+h3.
Prevent 2 damage from a strike (damage total = 7)?
Or prevent 2 damage from each strike (damage total = 3)?
Thanks

from reading card text, i´d say you prevent 2 damage from the total
damage from the opposing minion´s strikes, thus in the scenario you
described, the total non-prevented damage would be at 7.

Yeah. "Each round" clarifies it - if it were to allow you to prevent 2
damage from each strike, it would say each strike :)
The reasons why the card is worded that way are
- you can't use it to prevent damage from environmental sources
(Carrion Crows etc.)
- you can "activate" it in any strike you're taking according to your
needs. against the pot/cel user, you can wait and activate the "prevent
2 damage" at the last strike if you want to.
