I know with Celerity, there's card(s) that allow you to strike twice, at least one of which is First Strike. Can you use a First Strike to damage an opponent, and then use the second to S:CE, and take no damage yourself? Gwen -- Gwen Morse ... Strikes earlier in the combat are not negated. As you may remember, strikes resolve before additional strikes are declared. --- Liam Burke "This sentence no verb." -overheard

Thus your second strike (the S:CE) would not be played until after your opponent has played and resolved his initial strike. First strike only allows you to resolve your strike before your opponent, it does not allow you to squeeze in 2 strikes before your opponent gets his strike. This is mostly significant when your strike sends your opponent to topor.
