A question concerning the use of the card "Anathema" came up during our weekly gaming night this last weekend. Can the effects of Anathema be stacked? Say for instance a methuselah puts two or three Anathema's on his own vampire. Then, when that vampire gets to 0 blood, the vampire is burned and the methuselah gains 2 or 3 times what the blood capacity of the vampire was. Or, does the methuselah only gain pool equal to the burned vampire, no matter how many Anathema's are on the vampire? I was unable to find any clarification on this in the rules or errata. Thanks, Brian Iverson -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG

Or, does the The Methuselah controlling the minion opposing that one in combat gets the pool (2 or 3 times the capacity). -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. [ quoted text not captured ] Because there are no clarification or errata, Anathema can be stacked. So the vampire gains 2 or 3 times the blood. LSJ ? It's right ? Anathema doesn't give a vampire blood. It gives a Methuselah pool. Specifically, it gives pool to the Methuselah controlling the minion who opposes the Anathema'ed vampire in combat when the Anathema'ed vampire is reduced to zero blood in combat. > The Methuselah controlling the minion opposing that one in combat > gets the pool ........ Ahhhh, important note I missed. It is not the owner of the Anathema'd minion that gets the pool, but the owner of the OPPOSING minion (the one that causes the anathema'd minion to go to zero blood) that gains the pool. Therefore, a Methuselah would not want to put Anathema on their OWN minions, since you cannot use your own minions to attack each other? Correct? Otherwise, you could Anathema your own minion multiple times, then attack with another of your minions, and get back multiple times the original pool you paid for the minion. Thanks again for clarifying, [ quoted text not captured ]

Correct. You might however place Anathema on your own vamps if they're borrowed (Temptation, etc.) or you plan to lose them (via Corruption). In addition, if you have a Succubus Club, I'm sure you could work out a deal and split the bounty with someone... Halcyan 2
