Auspex is obligatory for this goal.. Deflection costs blood, but that is unimportant if you are attempting to withdraw. You fail to withdraw if you lose _pool_ or are in combat. Distraction is good for clearing up one's hand, but this could be subsituted for with Fragments of the Book of Nod and the Barrens. In addition, the use of permanents allows for a smaller deck. > You could do this with a Malk/Tremere deck (AUS/DOM). But it wouldn't > have the Celerity. True, but I don't think it's necessary. A new question: How to make a Withdraw deck that gets at least _TWO_ victory points? :) I think that might be a fun project. Auspex is obligatory for this goal.. : : Deflection costs blood, but that is unimportant if you are attempting to : withdraw. You fail to withdraw if you lose _pool_ or are in combat. Actually the specific wording is that you cannot lose pool, and your minions cannot lose any blood or enter combat. That really just leave Obedience and Telepathic Counter in the withdrawing round. : True, but I don't think it's necessary. : : A new question: : How to make a Withdraw deck that gets at least _TWO_ victory points? :) : I think that might be a fun project. The effort your predator will make to recover from the Lextalionis would make it alot more difficult for them to attack. It is also easy to convince your prey to go along with it, because they will be in a position with a weak predator. Now that I think about it, GREAT idea! :) [ quoted text not captured ]

I think the best shot would be with a Malk S&B deck using copious defenses of the kind outlined for successful withdrawing (Telepathic Counter, Obedience, and Pulling Strings). curt...@aol.com (CurtAdams) writes: [ quoted text not captured ] Or, you could use a Toreador (TC, Dread Gaze/Delaying Tactics/Vote-Back) voting deck, using your KRC and Conservative Agitations to help oust your grand Prey, then save her with Life Boon. Then turn your votes against *her* Prey, helping your grand Prey. When ousted, *you* get the victory point. This tactic is usually faster since you basically have two Meth's ganging up on one - which is very difficult (and annoying) to defend against. Plus you don't have to worry about your Malk's losing their heads :-[ --- Aside: Funny how a successful Malk Dementia won't thwart a withdrawal attempt - losing a minion rather than losing a minion's blood. -- L.
