Deep Song vs. Obedience

Deep Song: "In that combat, that vampire is considered the acting minion." Obedience: "Only usable when this reacting vampire is about to enter combat with an acting younger vampire." Is Obedience playable against a (unblocked) Deep Song rush?

The action is blocked. Any text on the Deep Song action is ignored (there is no alteration of impulse sequencing). The blocking minion may set range with the sniper rifle. Case 2. The is unblocked. The impulse sequencing is reversed by Deep Song's text and the target plays combat cards as if he were the acting minion. There was no successful block, the sniper rifle cannot be used to set range (Sniper Rifle card text)
